Bondy led throughout in a repeat of last weeks heat win to make a clean sweep of his heats. He showed great gate speed finding the front and got home in a 26.2 final quarter.
Washakie just awesome:
Washakie had to come from the outside draw and he settled to the rear of the field before making a move 400 metres after the start to sit outside the leader Smoken Up. When 400 from home he exploded to the lead, leaving Smoken Up to ponder the question - "catch me if you can" - but he couldn't.
